EDHEC global MBA participants participated in the Global Talent Day event on the EDHEC Paris Campus. The event was organised as a part of CareerSmart program to help MBA participants network with recruiters and top executives from companies in different sectors.
The day started with presentations by companies like IBM, Accor group, SAP, L’Oreal, PayPal, Amadeus, Valeo and Atos Consulting each followed by interactive sessions with professionals from those companies to help MBA participants understand the nature of business and the recruitment trends and opportunities with them.
The day was followed by roundtable on mentoring for career success with EDHEC Business School alumni and business partners. Christelle Caucheteux of EDHEC Alumni spoke about how they launched an in-house mentoring program for a 25,000-member network in 120 countries. She stated success stories of mentor-mentee alliance that helped many MBA alumni achieve their personal development and career progression goals through guidance and support of mentoring program.
Director of Diversity Initiatives at Sodexo, Satu Heschung, spoke about the award-winning international mentorship scheme at Sodexo. Grégoire Beaurain, founder of Walter Flynn International, shared his experience as a mentor and discussed some of the career issues faced by mid-level professionals.
At the cocktail dinner organised at the end of the day, Associate Director of Amadeus SAS was awarded with a token of appreciation for the best company presentation.
Similar appreciation awards were given to MBA participants who had been appreciated by the companies for their 90 second pitch. MBA participants thanked Sandra Richez and Veronika Zola-Deba and their team for organizing the successful networking event and helping MBA participants understand the current recruitment trends in various industries.
